Happy Monday!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine kicked off with a perfect date night at The Comedy Club and continued with just enough productivity and relaxation and entirely too many snacks - if there is such a thing.

Speaking of snacks - Kristyn is a snacky kind of gal herself! We had so much fun incorporating food items into her boudoir session last fall for the kitchen set! I am always down to make a bit of a mess in the name of a good photo and a great time! I have worked with Kristyn a few other times in the past when she was one of my OG 2019 Boudiebassadors! I was excited to try a few new things for this session.

SESSION DETAILS

Hair and Make Up:

Luxury Wing Set: Kristyn was one of the first babes to get to use the Luxury Wings for her session! Her session happened to be booked the same week the wings came in the mail and I COULD.NOT.WAIT. to use them! I am crazy about the pairing of the Luxury Wings with this navy blue sparkly bodysuit from the Client Closet! We even mixed things up and tried out the smoke machine for a few of her poses! She is SMOKING!

Kitchen Set: I am so thrilled that I have had the opportunity to play in the Kitchen set more recently. We added in a ton of personality to this set with cocktails, ice spheres, and of course a popcorn fight! Kristyn looks flawless in this emerald green crushed velvet bodysuit from the Client Closet.

Neon Lights Set: The Neon Lights are a new set to the Divulged studio in 2021. The colorful glow from the lights give this set a more sultry vibe that I love! We really had fun with this set by adding in a wig that Kristyn brought in. The mesh skirt from the Client Closet paired perfectly with this mesh bra from Honey Birdette.

I’ve dreamed of attending a foam party a la Boys and Girls starring Freddie Prince Jr ever since the movie released in 2000. Have you ever seen it? When I saw this foam machine shared in one of the Boudoir Photographer Education groups I couldn’t run to Amazon fast enough to snag my own!

I was thrilled that it arrived just in time for Rachel’s Fly on the Wall session! I was even more delighted that she was up for my shenanigans to test it out LIVE in the VIP group!

Have you ever avoided something for a long time - using every excuse in the book not to do it - and then afterwards thought “that really wasn’t as bad as I made it out to be…” ‘cuz same. That was exactly the scenario when it came to last week’s Fly on the Wall Friday Set.

I kept avoiding going LIVE while I photographed someone in the Shower Set. I had every excuse why it wouldn’t go smoothly.

You know what is really bringing me a lot of joy lately? These Fly on the Wall Friday sessions that I have been shooting LIVE in the Facebook VIP group! Seriously though - I’m not just saying that. It brings my 2 favorite things together - photoshoots and community - for a fun chat while I photograph a muse in the studio. I’ve had several people in the group reach out and say that they really appreciate seeing what it is actually like being photographed by me. I’ve heard that it helps calm some nerves before booking their own session with me knowing that I am going to guide them through the entire process!

When I first took these self portraits. I hated them. In fact, I didn’t even look at them again for another week. Seeing them now, in a different headspace, it makes me a little sad to think about. How unfair and unkind I was to myself that day. The pictures are the exact same. I didn’t retake them. Someone didn’t sneak in and photoshop away my insecurities. I was feeling frustrated [read hormones] with my body that day. I felt sluggish and bloated and just not like myself. I ached all over and PMS was hitting my emotions hard. Now I see art, strength, and love. So I wrote an apology letter to my body from my soul and we became best friends as a result.

Last Friday, I worked with long time client and 2022 Boudiebassador, Kandra, in the Stained Glass Window Set for the VIP Fly on the Wall Friday Live Photoshoot Event. I absolutely loved hearing how much she loved the outcome of these photos and that it wasn’t a set she normally would have picked for herself! Kandra considers her style to lean more edgy and I think we nailed it even in this otherwise “zen zone.”
