I am pretty dang excited about this year’s Limited Edition Halloween set design! One of my ambassador’s, Kaylie, gifted me this magnificent 7ish foot coffin that is absolutely perfect for these sessions! My bestie, Stew, and I put our brain juice together to create this amazing set! Once the coffin was added, everything else kind of fell into place. *pssst - she is also the brains behind adding the wall of black curtains to the studio space and it has been a GAME CHANGER even for regular sessions.

Intimate Maternity Photoshoot | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer

An intimate boudoir session might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you are expecting and looking to capture this incredible moment in your life, however, I can’t recommend it enough. To me, boudoir, isn’t just about sexy imagery and vibes -though let’s be honest, we all know that’s how you got here, right?! ;) Boudoir photography to me is more about intimacy, vulnerability, and celebrating the person you are right now. When you think of it in those terms, really - it’s a perfect fit for a maternity session!!

Awhile back, I hosted another LIVE photoshoot in the Facebook VIP group. My gorgeous Boudiebassador, Kaylie, came back in to model for the session. You guys have really been loving the Luxury Wings I added to the closet last fall so this was the perfect opportunity to show them off even further.

Quite some time ago (Fall 2020 to be exact eep), I invited my Boudiebassador, Ashley, to come back in the studio to shoot another LIVE session for the VIP Group! Did you catch it?

This time we opted for the kitchen set! Ashley is a baker by trade so the kitchen set was oh so fitting for her! I am all for making a mess in the kitchen! We incorporated flour, cocktails, and ice cubes for a fun touch to her images.

Tropical and steamy. Sums it up pretty well. The extra large shower features stunning black penny tile to set the stage for a steamy boudoir photoshoot set. The tropical botanical wallpaper and warm Edison bulbs add a vintage touch and a sultry glow.

With Summer in full swing, I have been spending a lot of time photographing babes outside during their session. I love being able to do live photoshoots to give you all a behind the scenes look at what it is like to have a session with me! The feedback that I have received is that this takes some of the pressure away from booking a session since you get to see how much direction I will give during the shoot. It is never as scary as it seems!

STUDIO SET SPOTLIGHT - The Black Wall | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer

The Black Wall set is oh so versatile ya’ll. We can really go to town and customize this set to match the vibe you are after. The basic elements of this set are the black wall, grid windows, and the concrete floors making it the perfect minimal classic studio portrait set. I love the clean modern lines and industrial feel of this corner.

By bringing in other elements, we can quickly change up the look of this set. I love bringing in the old, paint chipped ladder, lush green plants, and other furniture to instantly add texture and interest.

The inspiration for this photoshoot actually hit me several years ago while I was scrolling Pinterest. Bits and pieces of inspiration over the following years added up to what we created over the weekend.

To turn our backs on negativity, insecurities and the pressures that society puts on us to live a certain way.

THE VIBE

The Laundry Line set just screams sweet sweet summertime! The sheer and lace pieces add a soft and romantic feel to your session, while the bright white minimal color pallet helps bounce the sunlight around for the most flattering glow and sparkling eyes in your portraits. The laundry line set can be styled and posed more casual or a little more feminine - the choice is yours! I love that we are also able to easily tweak this set to included other personal elements. Several clients have even hung flags for causes dear to them - such as military, police, or pride!

This whole boudoir session is a FUCKING MOOD ya’ll! I have never been a gal to shy away from color, and this neon bedroom set oozes with delicious hues! I love the way the neon lights and blue satin sheets play with Kaylie’s vibrant locks! We decided to really play up the colorful vibes of this set by styling her in a fun pink 3 piece set she brought in (from Shein if you are curious). Red heels keep things spicy, yet playful.

I am so excited to share this next session with you! I had so much fun during Mykael’s boudoir session! I love adding a little bit of personality to sessions to make them unique. With the 4th set added to the Daredevil Experience, we were able to capture a ton of variety for her to choose from at the Reveal and Ordering Appointment.

STUDIO SET SPOTLIGHT - Outdoor Creek | Kansas City Boudoir Photographer

I love the creek set very obviously for it’s natural beauty. The rocks are perfectly positioned for a place to sit next to the creek without needing to actually get wet if you don’t want to. The overall colors from the trees and grass, rocks, and muddy creek are so warm and inviting. The sun peeks through the tree tops to provide interesting shadow patterns. The creek set is located just inside the property’s tree line, making it private enough to opt for implied or full nude which is always thrilling. There is a lot to love here.
